AIR CDRE SO MAKINDE
Air Commodore Sunday Olanipekun Makinde is an Aircraft Engineer in the Nigerian AirForce. He has attended several courses both locally and abroad. He was at the 320 Training Group, Kaduna (now Air Force Institute of Technology) for his orientation Aircraft Engineering Course from 1988 to 1990. He also attended the Armed Forces Command and Staff College for his Junior and Senior Staff courses in 1999 and from 2002–2003 respectively. He was at the United States Air force Special Operations School Florida USA for the Building Partnership Aviation Capacity Course in 2011 and also attended the National Defence University Islamabad, Pakistan. Makinde holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the National Defence Academic and Master of Science in National Security and War Studies. He has served in many staff and command capacities. He was the Military Assistant to the Air Officer Logistics, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force Abuja. He was the Commanding Officer 32 Logistics Wing at 303 Flying Training School Kano. He was a Directing Staff, Staff Officer Grade 1 Training and Acting Chief Instructor at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College. Air Commodore Makinde also served as the Deputy Director Training (Ground), the Secretary Procurement planning Committee and Director Museums and Archives at the Headquarters Nigerian Air Force. He is currently the Director of Information and Communication Technology National Defence College Abuja.

BRIG GEN BS IPINYOMI
Brigadier General Benjamin Segun Ipinyomi served at different formations and units which include but not limited to DHQ (R&D) (Asst Director IT), 2 Division NA (Asst Director Army Education), HQ NAEC (Staff Officer 1 and SOII). He was the Director at Nigerian Army (NA) Museum, Directorate of Command Schools Service, NA Archives and Registrar at Nigerian Army School of Education and presently Director Department Of History Research and Archives. He is decorated with the Distinguished Service Star. Brig Gen Ipinyomi has attended many workshops, seminars and military courses. He is a member Chartered Institute of Local Government and public administration of Nigeria and Member Nigerian Institute of Management.

AIR CDRE AT MARQUIS
Air Cdre Abidemi Timothy Marquis has attended Officers Basic Aircraft Engineering Course, Primary Flying Training and both Junior and Senior Courses. He also underwent post-graduate in Telecoms and Electronic Engineering at the Obafemi Awolowo University and Masters in Strategic Studies at the University of Ibadan. Marquis has served in 33 Logistics Group Makurdi, 301 Flying Training School Kaduna and 303 Flying Training School Kano. Other places he has served include: Air Force Institute of Technology, Kaduna, Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, HQ NAF Abuja, HQ Training Command, Kaduna, Military Training School, Kaduna, Aeronautical Engineering and Technical Services Limited, Abuja, 33 Logistics Group, Kaduna, 401 Aircraft Maintenance Depot, Lagos and currently at the National Defence College, Nigeria. The appointment he has held include: OC Aerospace and ground Equipment Squadron, OC Line Service squadron, Head of Department, Battalion 2ic, Senior Instructor, Programme Manager, Command Evaluation Officer, Commanding Officer and Production and Planning Manager, Directing Staff and presently Director National Military and Strategy, National Defence College, Nigeria.

AMB K ADEYANJU
Ambassador Kunle Adeyanju was appointed an External Affairs Officer Grade VIII, in the Ministry of External Affairs Lagos, by the Federal Civil Service Commission in August 1976. He rose through the ranks and attained the post of Director (Foreign Service Officer, Special Grade) in January 2002 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abuja.He served in various capacities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.He was also member of the Nigerian delegation to many Conferences including the United Nations General Assembly in 1976 – 78, 1991-92, 2006–07, ECOWAS Summits in 1986 – 88 and UN Human Rights Council meetings, 2005 -2007. Ambassador Adeyanju attended in-service training courses at the International Law Institute, Washington DC, USA 1986, Institute of Management Development, University of Pittsburg, USA 1994 and Korea International Cooperation Agency, Seoul South Korea, 2006. In April 2007, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nigeria to Belgium with concurrent accreditation to the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg, European Union, European Commission and the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of Sates. With the change of government in May 2008, Amb. Adeyanju was re-assigned as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Zimbabwe and served in that capacity till October 2010. He is currently Director National and Geo-political Affairs department.

Cdre Emmanuel Olatunji Beckley has attended several professional and academic courses. He attended the Sub-Lt Technical Course in NNS QUORRA from 1991–1992 and the Specialist Course in Above Water Warfare at the same school from 1999. He also attended Junior and senior Staff courses at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji in 2001 and 2004 – 2005 respectively. He had MBA with specialization in Human Resource Management from LASU in 2010 and he is a fellow of the prestigious National Defence College, Abuja. He obtained a Master of Science in Strategic Studies (MSS) from University of Ibadan. He is a member of Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and a fellow, Association of Human Resources Practitioners of Nigeria. He held several appointment both ashore and onboard ships. He is currently the Director of Academic Research and Analytical Support.

CDRE AO AYOBANJO
Commodore Adeseye Oke Ayobanjo has served in various capacities at the respective ranks. He has attended several military and civil courses during his career. The military courses include the Sub-Technical Course at NNS QUORRA in 1992, Junior Staff Course at Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji In 2001, Officer Long Course (Communication) at NNS QUORRA in 2005, UN Peace Support Operations Course (online) in 2005 and Senior Staff Course at AFCSC, Jaji in 2006. He also attended the Naval Command Course at the US Naval War College, Rhode Island in 2013. His civil qualification are BSc Physics from NDA in 1991, PGD Computer Science from University of Lagos in 1999, PGD Electronics and telecommunication Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2009 and MA in International Relations from Salve Regina University, USA in 2014. Adeseye has garnered some medals and awards in the couse of his career, including, Distinguished Service Star, Meritorious Service Star, Forces Service Star, UN Medals, Paased Staff College (psc), Fellow US Naval War College, James Forrestak Award for Excellence at the US Naval War College and Command at Sea Badge. He is also a Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management.
REAR ADMIRAL AA OSINOWO GSS psc(+) fdc(+) BSc MIAD MNSE Ph.D
Rear Admiral Adeniyi Adejimi Osinowo joined the Nigerian Navy as an officer cadet in 1981 and was commissioned in 1984 as a Sub-Lieutenant. Since then, he has served onboard several ships and has participated in exercises and operations across Africa, Europe, United States, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. The Rear Admiral has attended several courses, some of these courses include; Sub-Technical Course India, Long Specialist Communications Course, Principal Warfare Officers Course, Port Policy and Management Course Malta, International Joint Operations Planning Course at the His Majesty Ship DRYAD United Kingdom and National Defence College Nigeria Course 17. Some of his academic qualifications include, Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, with First Class, from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, University of Lagos, Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations, Lagos State University, Master in International Affairs and Diplomacy, Ahmadu Bello University. Rear Admiral Osinowo also holds a Ph.D in International Relations from the Commonwealth University.
The last 2 appointments he held before becoming the Commandant of National Defence College include, Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command Lagos and Chief of Training and Operations, Naval Headquarters. Some of his major awards and professional recognitions include, Chief of the Naval Staff Award for Best Graduating Cadet in Professional Studies, Member Nigerian Society of Engineers, Registered Member Council for Regulation of Engineering (COREN), Chief of Defence Staff Award for Best Overall Student at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College Course 21, Chief of the Naval Staff Award for Best Operations Paper NDC Course 17. Other awards include, Grand Service Star Medals, United States Humanitarian Service Medal during the Haiti Earthquake, Operation UNIFIED RESPONSE in 2010, Meritorious Service Award by former United States President Obama in 2011 and Distinguished Fellow of the National Defence College Nigeria.
He has many published series of works to his credit. He is married and blessed with children.
MAJ GEN EG ODE
DEPUTY COMMANDANT AND DIRECTOR OF STUDIES
Major General Ede Gabriel Ode is of the Corps of Nigerian Army Engineers. He holds a Diploma in Construction Management and Masters Degree in Strategic Studies. Since commission, Ode has attended several courses including the Engineer Young Officers Course, Infantry Young Officers Course and Antitank Platoon Commanders Course. Other courses include; Engineer Officers Equipment Course, Engineer Officers Squadron Commanders Course, Construction Management Course, Junior and Senior Staff Courses, National Defence College Nigeria and Strategic Planning in Disaster and Emergency Management Course. He has so far held several appointments including Military Assistant to Commander Corps of Engineers, Chief Instructor Nigerian Army School of Military Engineers, Directing Staff (DS) and Chief Instructor Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji Nigeria and Director of Works 45 Div Engrs. He was a DS in the NDC and Director of Engineers Services at DHQ. He is currently the Deputy Commandant of the College. General Ode holds the Forces Service Star (FSS), Meritorious Service Star (MSS) and Pass Staff College Dagger (psc+) and fdc (+) decorations. He is a recipient of Command Field Medal.
The Provost, Center for Strategic Research and Studies (CSRS) - DR Chijioke Wilcox Wigwe, fwc fdc (+)
Ambassador Dr Chijioke Wilcox Wigwe holds a B.A (Hons) Degree in English (Second Class Upper Division) from the University of Lagos and a PhD in English from the University of Exeter, England, United Kingdom. He has a post-graduate Diploma in Journalism from the London School of Journalism and is a Fellow of the National War College, Nigeria (Course 9). Dr Wigwe was a Lecturer in English Language at the University of Jos until April 1984 when he joined the Nigerian Foreign Service as a First Secretary (Foreign Service Officer Grade VI). He rose quickly through the ranks, attaining the peak of his career as Director (Foreign Service Officer Special Grade) in January 2006. Dr Wigwe has held important senior appointments and served in various capacities at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in Nigerian Diplomatic Missions abroad including Tokyo, Warsaw, New York and Nairobi.
From May 2008 to October 2011, Dr Wigwe was the High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Kenya with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Seychelles. At the same time, he was the Ambassador & Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) in Nairobi. He joined the service of the National Defence College as a Directing Staff and Member of the Steering Group in February 2012, a position he held until his appointment as Provost on 27 July 2017.
Dr Wigwe is a recipient of many awards including Best Ambassador of the Year (2010); African Peace and Security Impact Award (2009) - for negotiating and securing the release of the Nigerian vessel MV Yenagoa which was held in captivity by Somali pirates for 10 months; Ambassador for Peace (2008) and, Exemplary Leadership and Community Service Award (2007). Academic honours and distinctions he received include the Eudora Coker Memorial Prize for Best HSC Literature in 1972; the Faculty of Arts Prize for Best All-Round Performance in the Degree Examination at the University of Lagos in June 1976; and an Honours Diploma in Journalism for Outstanding Ability and Expertise by the London School of Journalism in 1991. In August 2017 he was conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of the Defence College fdc (+) for excellent services rendered as a teaching staff (Directing Staff) between 2012 and 2017.
Dr Wigwe has attended several international conferences and meetings, and delivered lectures at seminars. In 1982 he founded and edited an academic journal titled Nigerian Journal of Sociolinguistics. This was followed by the publication of a book in 1990 titled Language, Culture and Society in West Africa. He was the Desk Officer responsible for Third Committee affairs (Social, Humanitarian and Cultural) at the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations, New York, from 2003 to 2007. In 2006 he led the Nigerian Delegation to the UN Conference that resulted in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its Optional Protocol which was opened for signature in New York in March 2007. Similarly, he was Alternate Head of Nigerian Delegation at negotiations that culminated in the establishment of the UN Human Rights Council in May 2006. He is a Lifetime / Platinum Member of Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Executives and Professionals, USA, and Member of the Association of Freelance Journalists, UK.
