In line with the National Defence College’s course curriculum, a total of 128 participants of course 27 of the College has embarked on Geo-Strategic Tour of States from Monday 8 October to Friday 12 October 2018. Faculty Members and Administration Staff are part of the Study Tour. The participants were organized into eight states for the purpose of the Study Tour, where each of the team is to visit one of the designated eight states, namely; Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Ebonyi, Edo, Jigawa, Niger and Zamfara States. The theme of this year’s tour is “Management of the Youth and Security: The State Experience”
According to the Commandant National Defence College, Rear Admiral Adeniyi Osinowo, the Geo-Strategic Study Tour of states by the participants was more of a fact finding mission on the experiences of the Respective States in Management of Youth and National Security. He reiterated that, the Geo-Strategic Study Tour of the States was one of the many germane events that were specifically designed to educate the participants as strategic leaders as well as to help prepare them for the core activities scheduled for the course.
