Inadequate Collaboration Among Security Agencies Undermined Security at Borders – Says Comptroller General of Customs
The Comptroller General, Nigerian Custom Service (NCS) Col Hameed Ail (rtd) has stated that inadequate collaboration among the security agencies in border areas undermined the service’s efforts.
Col Ali, who was represented by the Assistant Comptroller NCS HK Gumi, disclosed this during a lecture titled: Revenue Generation and National Development: The whole of Society Approach to the National Defence College (NDC) Course 30 Participant in Abuja recently.
He however, listed some challenges of Custom Service as poor enforcement of the extant Customs laws, inadequate equipment and facilities, as well as, inadequate capacity building programs for it’s personnel among others.
