Bauchi State Governor Extols NDC Curricular – Receives Course 33 participants on National Study Tour
The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulqadir Mohammed, has commended the National Defence College Nigeria (NDC) on its rich curricula and diversity of participants. The Governor made these comments when he received the Commandant NDC, Rear Admiral Olumuyiwa Morakinwo Olotu at the Government House, Bauchi who paid him a courtesy visit as part of National Study Tour (NST) embarked by participants of NDC Course 33. Governor Mohammed recalled his experience as a Guest Lecturer at the NDC in 2023. “I was invited to deliver a lecture on my leadership experience to participants of NDC Course 32. The lecture was highly beneficial for both of us. I can still recall the robust interactive session with the participants,” he said.
The Bauchi Chief Executive further commended the high professionalism and modesty he observed among the senior officers and participants of the NDC and promised to offer all the necessary support and data that can enrich the participants’ work on their visit to Bauchi. “As the apex military education institution in Nigeria, the NDC has made us proud. I notice the level playing field you have always provided for participants from all over the world, from across the security agencies and other important ministries departments and agencies. This is what the Armed Forces of Nigeria is known and still respected for. I call on you to sustain this standard and ensure our national security and development,” the Governor added.
Earlier in his remarks, the Commandant expressed appreciation to the Governor on the warm hospitality accorded the participants in Bauchi and intimated him of the mission of the NDC as the highest military education institution which provides research on security, leadership and defence studies. He stated that the NST is part of the course curriculum, and the theme for NDC Course 33 is “Strengthening Institutions for National Security and Development in Nigeria.” Admiral Olotu further expressed appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed for being one of NDC exalted speakers for Course 32.
