CSRS Organizes Capacity Building Seminar For Senior Officers In Security Sector
The Center for Strategic Research and Studies, National Defence College (CSRS NDC) in conjunction with UN Women has declared open a four day seminar on CAPACITY BUILDING FOR SENIOR OFFICERS OF THE SECURITY SECTOR INSTITUTIONS.
The Special Guest of Honour during the event, Minister for Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Taleen, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Engineer Olufunsho Adebiyi, lauded the organizers for sustaining the effort on Gender-mainstreaming in the security sector.
In his key address, UK Vice Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Sir Tim Fraser, represented by Major Pauline Nicole commended Nigeria UK partnership, noting that the UK defence is committed to gender issue.
Also, the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Leo Irabor, represented by the Director of Training, Rear Admiral Okon Eyo, who lauded the Organizers for the initiative, however enjoined the participants in the program to embrace the workshop as effective platform to enhance operation.
Earlier in his welcome address, NDC Commandant, Rear Admiral OB Daji, who welcomed the participants, noted that the aim of the workshop was to promote Gender mainstreaming, he therefore urged the participants to be active while the workshop lasted.
