DRDB and NDC Forge Stronger Research Partnership
The Defence Research and Development Bureau (DRDB) and the National Defence College (NDC) are set to deepen their collaboration following a high-level visit focused on advancing national defence innovation and strategic development.

Rear Admiral KJ Odubanjo, Director General of the DRDB, paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant of the NDC, Rear Admiral Abdullahi Ahmed, on Wednesday, 26 November 2025. The visit was a key part of the Bureau’s ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between the two institutions. During the meeting, Rear Admiral Odubanjo emphasized the DRDB’s intention to work closely with researchers at the NDC’s Centre for Research and Strategic Studies (CRSS). He noted that enhanced cooperation is essential to bolster research that supports national security and strategic programs.
Rear Admiral Ahmed warmly welcomed the DRDB delegation and lauded the initiative. He assured the Director General of the College’s full readiness to provide support in all areas of collaboration, reaffirming the NDC’s commitment to advancing crucial defence research.
The Commandant also commended the DRDB for its proactive engagement and reiterated the College’s willingness to partner on future research and strategic programs aimed at strengthening the nation’s defence capabilities.
