NDC Flags Off Course 33 Graduation Activities With Golf Kitty
The National Defence College (NDC), Nigeria, has kicked off activities for the Graduation Ceremony of Course 33 with its traditional Golf Kitty, held on Saturday, 9 August 2025, at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Golf Club, NAF Base, Abuja.
The Special Guest of Honour, Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major General Emmanuel Undiandeye, declared the tournament open, describing it as a key highlight of the College’s training year that promotes camaraderie, fitness, and relaxation after months of intensive academic work.
Commandant of the NDC, Rear Admiral James Ohimai Okosun, said the Golf Kitty underscores the College’s holistic approach to leadership development, combining intellectual rigour with physical well-being and social interaction.
The event drew golfers from across Nigeria and featured awards in various categories. The Golf Kitty marks the start of Graduation Week, which will include religious services, sports events, the Graduation Lecture by former Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo, a Dinner/Award Night, and the Graduation Ceremony on Friday, 22 August 2025, with the President and Commander-in-Chief expected as Special Guest of Honour.
