The National Defence College (NDC) Course 24 Graduation Golf tournament took place on Saturday 23 July, 2016 at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Golf Club, NAF Base, Airport Road, Abuja. The Tournament was part of the activities lined up to commemorate the Graduation Ceremony of NDC Course 24 Participants. The turnout was impressive as golfers within and outside the Armed Forces honoured the invitation. The popular G Group of IBB Golf Club and other representatives of the Club were also present.

In his remarks, the Chief Host and the Commandant NDC, Rear Admiral SI Alade expressed his appreciation to the impressive turnout of golfers at the ceremony. He congratulated the Participants of NDC Course 24 for a successful completion of their Course which according to him is adjudged satisfactory.

 

The Chairman of the Sub-Committee on the golf tournament, Commodore IB Yusuf thanked the golfers for the turn-out. He equally thanked the sponsors of the event for the donations towards the successful hosting of the tournament.

The golf tournament is one of the activities lined up to mark this year’s graduation of NDC Course 24 Participants. Other activities that will follow includes Sports’ Day scheduled for Saturday 30 July, 2016 at the Aguiyi Ironsi Sports Complex, Asokoro, Abuja, where the Honourable Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung is expected to be the Special Guest of Honour. The Graduation Lecture is going to take place on Wednesday 3 August, 2016 at the College Auditorium. The Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness Muhammad Sanusi II (CON) shall be the distinguished Guest Lecturer. The Theme of the lecture is DEREGULATION OF THE DOWNSTREAM OIL SECTOR AND NIGERIA’S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: AN APPRAISAL. The Honourable Minister, Ministry of Defence, Mansur Muhammad Dan-Ali shall be the Special Guest of Honour.

Similarly, the Graduation Dinner/Award Night will be held on the same day (3 August, 2016) at the College premises. The Chairman Senate Committee on Defence, Senator Ahmad Lawan is expected to be Special Guest of Honour.

The activities would be rounded up with a Graduation Ceremony on Friday 5 August, 2016 at the College Auditorium and Mr President Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR will be the Special Guest of Honour.
