Sierra Leonean High Commissioner Visits National Defence College
His Excellency Dr. Julius Sandy, the High Commissioner of the Republic of Sierra Leone to Nigeria, visited the National Defence College (NDC) in Abuja for a strategic engagement on matters of mutual interest. During the visit, Dr. Sandy highlighted the strong diplomatic ties between Sierra Leone and Nigeria, noting their shared values and numerous exchanges in military ideas and training. He commended the Commandant for his leadership style and unwavering commitment to advancing military education and promoting diplomacy and regional security. Dr. Sandy also emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between the two nations in areas such as military training, regional security, and economic development.

In his remarks, the Commandant of NDC, Rear Admiral Olumuyiwa Olotu, expressed gratitude to the High Commissioner for his visit. He reflected on the significant contributions of many Nigerians who studied at the Fora Bay College in Freetown, as well as numerous Sierra Leonean alumni of the NDC who have made notable contributions. Rear Admiral Olotu assured the High Commissioner of the NDC’s continued commitment to fostering the strong relationship and exploring new avenues for cooperation that will contribute to development, peace, and stability.
