National Defence College Holds Dinner And Awards Night For Course 32 Participants

The National Defence College Nigeria has held Dinner and Awards Night in honour of graduating participants of Course 32 of the College. The event which was held at the College premises was among activities lined up for the graduation ceremony after completion of 11 months strategic leadership course. In his remarks, the special Guest of Honour, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President while congratulating the graduands said the event provides opportunity for the participants to interact among themselves and guests in a social atmosphere. He added that it is also an occasion for the participants to wine down after 11 months of study in the college.

Akpabio who was represented by the Chairman Senate committee on Navy, Senator Gbenga Daniel commended the Commandant and his team for impacting requisite knowledge on the participants which he said will aid them in the discharge of their constitutional roles to their respective countries. The Commandant in his welcome address thanked the Special Guest of Honour and other guests for making out time to identify with the College despite their tight schedules. He reveals that the event was put in place to honour the graduating participants and their families in a social atmosphere.

He went down the memory lane 11 months when the participants reported to the college, the efforts put in place to assure that requisite knowledge are impacted on the participants which will equip them more in the discharge of their duties. He thanked the President, Commander in Chief, His Excellency Bola Tinubu for his sterling leadership and support to the College by providing the necessary assistance required in the discharge of its responsibilities. He extolled the Honourable Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar for his quality guidance to the as well as the CDS and Service Chiefs for their support and strategic guidance.

The event was witnessed by some members of the National Assembly, representatives of State Governors, Service Chiefs, DEPOWA, NAOWA, NAFOWA, NOWA and POWA. Highpoints of the event was awards presentation to deserving participants and Staff of the College, unveiling of NDC News Magazine and presentation of gifts.
