CBN Governor Extols NDC

The Governor Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr Godwin Emefiele lauded the National Defence College for playing key role in providing an enabling environment for capacity development to senior military officers across 16 international countries. He made the remarks when the Commandant, National Defence College, Rear Admiral Adeniyi Osinowo paid him a courtesy call. He reiterated that the effort of the college in contributing to the strategic intellectual development of senior military personnel across the globe is gratifying to Nigeria.

The Central Bank Governor used the opportunity to solicit for the National Defence College to give a slot to the Senior Staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria to partake in the one year training package of the prestigious military training institution. The Governor also applauded the Federal Government for the integrated facilities under construction at the National Defence College permanent site Piwoyi. He added that when the facilities are completed it will ease the stress of Participants from going far to receive lectures.

The Commandant Rear Admiral Adeniyi Osinowo while giving his remarks informed the Governor Central Bank of Nigeria that the National Defence College is the apex strategic military training institution in Nigeria and the Sub- Saharan region. He added that the strategic training institution affords Participants the opportunity to exploit their intellectual horizon and expand their professional expertise. The Commandant was accompanied by the College Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Dahiru Sanda, Provost Centre for Strategic Research and Studies, Ambassador Dr Chijioke Wigwe and the Director of Finance and Accounts, Brigadier General Olamide Ohunyeye.
