Commandant Delivers Goodwill Message at The 2024 International Day of Peace

The Commandant National Defence College, Rear Admiral OM Olotu on Tuesday 23 September 2024, delivered a goodwill message to an esteemed audience that consisted of former President Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR and other distinguished personalities. The event was held at the auditorium of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution.

Admiral Olotu posited that “Peace as a concept is not merely the absence of conflict, but a dynamic state of mind, a societal value and strategic imperative that permeates all ideologies.” He implored everyone to cultivate a culture of peace, through intentional, deliberate and concerted actions.

Highpoint of the occasion was the conferment of the award of Fellow Peace Institute on His Excellency Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR.
