Defence Minister Inaugurates NDC Course 23
The Honourable Minister of Defence, Lt Gen Aliyu Gusau (rtd) inaugurated the National Defence College Course 23 on Tuesday 9 September 2014. The inauguration which signaled the formal commencement of the Course, took place at the College Auditorium, Abuja.
The Honourable Minister who was represented by the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Adesola Amosu, charged the participants to double their efforts to sustain the glory of the College, which he said, had produced distinguished men and women who excelled in their chosen careers in Africa and beyond.

He commended the Commandant and Faculty members for their contributions to national development through human capacity building at strategic level, reiterating that they have helped the College to fulfill the vision of its founding fathers.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Commandant, Rear Admiral Ndidi Patrick Agholor, congratulated the participants for being selected to attend the Course. He urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by their individual countries, services and agencies.
Admiral Agholor enjoined the participants to maintain the College reputation for unrivalled hard work and excellence. He outlined some of the current transformation in the College, particularly in the area of infrastructural development. He thanked the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and members of the College Governing Board for their support in providing the required facilities.
NDC Course 23 has a total of 130 Participants, comprising 117 Nigerians drawn from the Military, Ministries, Departments and Agencies, and 13 nationals from some African countries.
