FG Target Five Areas of Priorities in the…

The Federal Government has identified five key areas of priorities in its efforts to put back the nation’s economy on track. The Acting President Professor Yemi Osinbajo made this disclosure during a lecture to Participants of NDC Course 25. The Acting President said the areas include Fiscal Stimulus to spur private consumption and investment, Implementation of manufacturing measures to curb inflation, Improvement of the external balance by expenditure and statutory policies to expand exports and Diversification which he said is the major aspect of recovery plan. The Vice President also told the gathering that the FG recently established the Ease of Doing Business Council which he chaired to provide the enabling environment to do business safely in the country.

In his opening remarks, the Commandant National Defence College Rear Admiral Samuel Ilesanmi Alade thanked the Acting President for honouring the College’s Invitation to come and deliver lecture to NDC Participants. According to him only last week the Acting President was here in the College to launch the Harmonised Standard Operation Procedure for the Maritime Environment. The Commandant said that the College ever remains grateful to His Excellency for the gesture.

 

In his welcome remarks, the Honourable Minister of Defence Mansur Muhammad Dan-Ali said that the lecture was coming at a period when Nigeria is witnessing a revolution in its socio-economic life which cuts across the Country’s Political, Defence as well as the economic spheres. The title of the lecture is the Economic Dimension of the National Security; The Nigerian Experience.
