NDC Course Research Projects Remain The Most Important Feature of The NDC Course Says The Vice President, Professor Yemi OSINBANJO
Research projects and strategic writings produced by participants of the College are cardinal points of the NDC Course, towards the award of distinguished fellowship of the Defence college (fdc). It is also part of NDC statutory responsibilities.
This year, the Participants of NDC Course 29 conducted research into contemporary security and developmental areas of national interest, focusing on the theme; Fourth Industrial Revolution and National Development. One of such researches was the Vice President’s Research Paper titled “Creating Jobs and Opportunities for Africa’s Largest Youth Population”.
On completion, the Participants were opportuned to present the research report to His Excellency, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, GCON, SAN, at the Presidential Villa on 2 August 2021.
At the presentation event, the VP noted that “over the years, I’ve found the presentations on policy issues to be one of the most important features of the NDC Course” He went on to commend the high quality of research and presentations by the college which he acknowledged have provided useful inputs into policy making and implementation in the country.
Those in attendance at the presentation included Mr Ade Ipaiye, Deputy Chief Staff to the Vice President, Dr (Amb) Yemi Dipeolu, Special Adviser to the Vice President on Economic Matters and other Aides of the Vice President. From the college were Commandant Rear Admiral OB Daji, the Deputy Commandant and Director of Studies, Maj Gen EV Onumajuru, the Director Research and Analytical Studies, Commodore AA Orederu, Faculty Members and selected Participants from the Army, Navy and Airforce as well as international Participants from Nepal, Bangladesh, Cote d’Ivoire and Republic of Congo.
