Pakistan To Build On Existing Relationship With National Defence College, Nigeria
Pakistan Military delegation led by the Director General FMC, (Joint Staff Headquarters), Major General Majid Jahangir has solicited for concerted efforts to build on existing relationships between Pakistan and National Defence College, Nigeria. He disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the National Defence College, NDC, in Abuja, today, as part of working tour to Nigeria.
Major General Jahangir, who described Nigerian military as highly professional one, noted that the discipline, conduct and methodology of both militaries were similar, hence the need for both parties to learn from each other. Reacting, the Commandant NDC, Rear Admiral MM Bashir, who commended Pakistan military’s stabilization roles in checkmating terrorism, pronounced the similarity between the two countries as an added advantage to overcome security challenges.
He further called for experience sharing through collaboration in the area of programs exchange in order to add value to Course Participants. In the same vein, the College Director of Coordination, Brigadier General FU Mijinyawa, gave presentation on general overview of the College to the delegation, while the team toured the Syndicate Rooms, Abacha Hall, Library and Museum as part of activity to mark the visit.
On the entourage of the Pakistan delegation were: Brig Basharat Ali Khan, (DFMC); Brig Younas MT, (GHQ), Air Cdre Zia (AHQ), Maj Attique (CSO-L) Africa.
