The Commandant further remarked that in “contemporary terms, we live in an era of mutatory and migratory threats to security both within and across national boundaries”. He further mentioned that one of the glaring consequences of the attendant conflicts to this trend of insecurity is that women and girls suffer the impact the most. He reiterated that women are also targets of other specific forms of violence and abuse including sexual violence and exploitation.
