Agriculture Remains Key In The Nation’s Development

The Honourable Minister of Agriculture Dr Audu Ogbeh has said that Agriculture remains a key area in the Nations’s development. The Minister made this assertion while delivering lecture to Participants of NDC Course 25 on the Topic “Agricultural Sector and Nigeria’s Economy”. The Minister reiterates Government’s determination in ensuring enabling environments for Farmers adding that the initiative recently introduced by the Ministry to establish grazing reserves for Cattle would bring to an end the farmers/herdsmen clash. The Commandant National Defence College Nigeria, Rear Admiral S I Alade in his remarks thanked the Minister for honouring the College invitation to deliver lecture to Participants of NDC Course 25. He then applauded the Minister for the recent successes recorded in the Agricultural Sector of the Country.

 

In a related development, the Commandant National Defence College Nigeria, Rear Admiral SI Alade received the Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Harry Purwanto on Courtesy Call. The Envoy who said he was pleased with the reception accorded to him by the Commandant, commended the NDC for the giant strides and successes recorded. Also, received by the Commandant was a Delegation from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) led by Major General Yo Song Chol, the Deputy Director General of Military External Affairs Ministry of Peoples Armed Forces. The Delegation also included the Ambassador of DPRK to Nigeria His Excellency Jong Young Chol, they informed the Commandant that they were in his office to seek for more areas of collaboration in Military Training.  The Commandant thanked the visiting Delegation for the visit and assured them of NDC’s readiness in Training Exchange.
