DR Tony Elumelu Advocates Adoption of Strategic Leadership to Stem Insecurity In Africa

African’s leading investor and Philanthropist, Dr Tony Elumelu, CON, has advocated for adoption of strategic leadership style to overcome insecurity challenges in Africa sub-region. He disclosed this while presenting a lecture entitled – STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP: MY BUSINESS EXPERIENCE to National Defence College, (NDC) Course 30 Participants in Abuja, recently.

According to Dr Elumelu, who noted that strategic leadership is applicable to both private and public sectors in an effort to reduce rate of poverty in the society.

In his closing remarks, NDC Commandant, Rear Admiral Muritala Bashir, who commended the founder of Tony Elumelu Foundation on his initiative to lift youths out of poverty in Africa, described him as a reference point, therefore urged the participants who are strategic leaders to learn more about his leadership style.

The lecture which has interactive session is part of Module 6 on Policy Strategy Statecraft and National Security sponsored by the Directorate of National and Military Strategy.
