NDC Embarks on World Study Tour

The 2014 Geo-Strategic World Study Tour for Participants of Course 22 to selected countries across the globe commenced on 2 May. There are total of 20 countries the Participants are visiting with each team to 2 countries. The Tour is aimed at achieving the objective of the theoretical teachings of block 6 programme of the College.

The Commandant, Rear Admiral Patrick Agholor joined Team 1 in Ethiopia between 2nd – 4th May 2014. While in Addis Ababa, the Team visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Economy and Development and the Air Force Base at Debre Zeit. The Team with the Theme: Aviation Industry and National Development in Ethiopia: Lessons for Nigeria, received briefs from places visited including the Ethiopian Airlines.

The Team was hosted to Lunch by the Nigerian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ambassador Bulus Lolo. While welcoming the Team to the Nigeria House, Ambassador Lolo said that Nigeria need to learn from the incredible success story of Ethiopian Airline as the Airline is an example on how to run an Airline. He thanked the Commandant for choosing Ethiopia for this year study tour which according to him will further cement the cordial relationship between the two Countries. The Commandant, Rear Admiral Patrick Agholor, thanked the Ambassador and the Nigerian Community for the warm reception accorded the Team. According to him, the briefs received will assist the Team to accomplish its objective of choosing Ethiopia for the Study Tour this year as Ethiopian Airline represents great things in aviation industry.
